About the Event

We invite you to enjoy a fascinating hour with guest speaker, Josh Liller, Historian and Collections Manager for the Loxahatchee River Historical Society. Josh shares his extensive knowledge about the operations of our local Coast Guard stations in both Hobe Sound and Jupiter, with its inconic lighthouse.  He takes us back to both world wars, explaining the USCG's activity and describing the navigational aids used by Loran Stations as part of a global network...well before GPS!

Josh has been the Historian and Collections Manager for the Loxahatchee River Historical Society for the last five years. He has a History BA from Florida Atlantic University and a lifelong interest in history. In addition to numerous guided tours, presentations and articles, he is working on several historical book projects.
